1. Introduction
Safe-to-Ship (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a Shopify application that helps merchants prevent orders from being released until operational readiness requirements have been satisfied. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of merchant and customer data processed through our application.
2. Information We Process
Safe-to-Ship processes only the information required to provide its functionality. This may include Shopify Order information, Shopify Fulfillment Order information, operational readiness status, operational event history, Shopify resource identifiers, shop identifiers, and session information required for authentication. Safe-to-Ship is designed to minimise the amount of personal data it processes.
3. Why We Process This Information
We process information solely to provide the Safe-to-Ship service, including determining operational readiness, coordinating fulfillment holds and releases, recording operational history, troubleshooting technical issues, meeting Shopify platform requirements, and providing customer support when requested. We do not process personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Data Sharing & Security
We do not sell personal data. We only share information where necessary to operate the application, including with Shopify, Gadget (our application hosting platform), and infrastructure providers required to operate the service. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and destruction, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest where supported, secure authentication, access controls, and the principle of least privilege.
5. Retention, Requests & Your Rights
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the Safe-to-Ship service or meet legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations. When information is no longer required, it is securely deleted. Safe-to-Ship supports Shopify’s Shop Redact requests, Customer Redact requests, and Customer Data Requests. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to, or restrict processing of your information.
